[How to] Root Micromax A62 Bolt easily and Upgrade to Jellybean

Micromax A62 Bolt, is a good and smart android phone, which is running on Gingerbread 2.3 firmware. This is a low budget phone. So everyone can use this phone.  This is a dual sim phone. This is a good feature phone android phones, and the screen size is 3.95 inches with 320 x 480 resolution and 146 pixel density. This is a quite impressive feature at this range. This phone has a 202MB internal memory. This is low compared to other Android phones. But we can use sd card up to 16GB. That is enough for storing music, videos, data etc. 

This phone has a 2 megapixel camera. This is not a good one. Because, most of the android phone has a good camera than 2 megapixel. And the phone has no secondary camera. So user can not take self feature. This phone has a good processor with 1GH clock speed. This is a good feature at this price. But the RAM size is very low in this phone. It ha only 256MB RAM. This is not a good feature. And the phone has no graphic processor. So this phone is not good for who play games. So, this phone is not a good choice for those who like games. This is suitable for a average user.

Micromax introduced this phone initially with Android 2.3 Gingerbread firmware. And I think there is no official update for ICS or Jelly Bean firmware. But do not worry about it. You can update your device to ICS or Jellybean firmware manually. But in some cases you need to root your device to install custom ROMs. There are several methods to root your device. One simple method is to install the ROM manager on your device. This ROM manger could be download from Google Play store, and install on your device. But in some cases, this method does not work on your device. For such cases, you need to do it manually. 

Here we introduce two methods to root your Micromax A62 Bolt. You can root your device with any methods which given below. If you are fail to root your device with first method, try the second method to root it. Do this process with care. So do not skip any steps while you root your device.

Requirements: 

• Make sure that the phone is charged atleast 80%. It is needed to complete the rooting process without any power interruption.


• Install USB driver of Micromax on your PC. It required for communicate your phone and your computer. If you are not installed yet, download the driver software from here.


• There is a chance to lose your personal data such as contacts, messages, call logs after flashing your device. So you could better to take a back up of your personal data.

Steps: 

• Method 1 

1. Download the Moborobo from here.
2. Download the Unlock root tool from here.
3. Extract and install both downloaded software in step 1 and step 2 on your computer.
4. Now you need to connect your phone with computer via USB cable.
5. Now open Moborobo application on your computer. It will shows that your device is connected successfully.
6. Now run Unlock Root application on your computer and click the green button which shows ‘Root’.
7. Now there will pop up a device list. Select your device from there.
8. Again you will get a pop up page which ask to ‘reboot your phone’. You need to click ‘yes’ to reboot your device.
9. After this, the rooting process will start and wait for reboot your device.
10. After rebooting your device, you are successfully rooted your device.

If you are failed try the second method.

• Method 2

1. Download the Bin4ry Tool from here.
2. Extract the file on your computer.
3. Now, open ”Runme.bat” from the extracted folder.
4. And select the option “1-normal mode”.
5. You need to follow the coming instructions to complete the process.
6. Finally reboot your device to complete the process.
